Kacee (she/her) is a PhD candidate in the English Department at the University of Mississippi. She received her bachelor’s degree from Oklahoma Baptist University and her master’s degree from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. She’s taught both composition and English literature for many years. In her upcoming dissertation, she will be studying literary depictions of animals and queerness in southern literature from the last century, and she’s passionate about teaching composition and critical reading to students in all stages of their educational and writing process. Though she loves any and all writing appointments, her favorite kinds of appointments are when she gets to brainstorm with a student about a new argument and outline for an essay!
She lives with her husband, two dogs, and 17-year-old cat.
